Last week I got Jack to do laundry...Tonight....he vacuumed for me!!!! Still won't pick up his freakn' toys!!!!!

Cricut Heaven

I am addicted to my CRICUT EXPRESSIONS MACHINE!!! I have like coolest parents on the planet, they bought me the Cricut for Christmas....I have made stuff for my scrapbooks and stuff for my classroom...I will post pictures soon of my latest school bulletin board that Jack made using the Cricut...It is that easy!!!

Corn on the Cob!

Jack told me when we were at Costco the other day that he wanted Corn on the Cob...I have been trying to get him go eat Corn on the Cob FOREVER.....He will eat corn just not on the cob...He can't wait to get corn out of Meme's garden this summer.....

Anyone Need Laundry Service?

Jack loves to help me do chores around the house...Today he did his first load of laundry..He even sorted out all the laundry for me...What a funny guy..now if I could just get him to pick up his toys!

1.Legos : This kid is obsessed with legos! If they are Star Wars Legos it is even better!

2. Turning 5: Jack asks quite often am I five yet..is it "April 20ish"?

3. Going to Hawaii in March: Mommy and Daddy are trying really had to get this family of three to Hawaii for a little get away! We need to get out of Vegas!

4. Disneyland: This little guy wants to go to Disneyland for his birthday... We can't wait to go! Little does he know we are making him ride Space Mountain!

Pre-School At Home

I have been doing pre-school at home with Jack and we are having a lot of fun..Jack's favorite things of course are painting and computers....Today I snapped some pictures of him while he was doing his computer lessons...He loves having his own computer..I like that too..no more fighting over who gets to use the computer first!

Ugh! I am being attacked....

As I write this blog I am being attacked...I was sitting here quietly reading about that plane crash in New York...when...I feel something whizz past me....Then I hear whispering and giggling from downstairs...Then I feel something hit me in the back of the head....followed by more giggling and whispering..RJ and Jack are shooting their dart guns up at me...Ahh..Jack just left a dart gun up here...revenge is sweet...Hee Hee...Just got back from my attack....

OMI UPDATE: Jack's new babysitter rocks!!! Jack loves her and wakes up every morning and says, "Are we going to Omi's today?" She is the cutest lady..(I'll post some pics next week) She is 75..but looks and acts much younger..On Thursday when I arrived to pick up Jack..Omi and Jack were running...yes running in the back yard having a sword fight....She has such an adorable German accent and is teaching Jack some German....She has asked us to drop off Jack early next Friday, because her Grandkids are going to be there(no school Friday)and she wants to take the kids on a picnic and do a special art project!!!

In May Jack and I(hopefully my mom too) are going to fly up to Clovis, California(near Fresno) and meet up with awesome friend Corie and her family..From there we are going to head up to Vallejo California to participate in the Stroll for Epilepsy at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom..Corie is putting a team together and I think we are going to have a ton of fun..Corie's Daughter Hannah and myself as many of you know have Epilepsy and I feel honored that they asked me to come up and walk with them..I have a special gift for Hannah and I can't wait to give it to her!!!

Anyway...I know that Corie and I want to try to get some sponsors for our team to help us out for the race....so check your mailboxes soon, I am sending you a little flyer with the sponsor information in case you want to sponsor us in the race...With the economy and tough times everyone is facing.... Corie and I will be happy with just prayers for a safe and fun day, especially for Hannah.... :)

Person of the Week: My Hubby

This week I chose RJ as my person of the week...I have been really sick since Thursday..My wonderful guy called in sick all weekend to take care of me and Jack...He pampered me all weekend, fed me, went grocery shopping, played with Jack and brought me medicane...What a wonderful guy I have..I love him!

Movie Director....Costume Designer??

RJ and I have decided that Jack is going to be a movie director or a costume designer..He's always putting on little shows and directing RJ and I in little family plays..He also (and I am not joking) will spend over an hour at a time designing outfits and costumes for his characters on the Wii...Yesterday during the Charger game I asked him, "Do you want to be a Football player?", or "Design Costumes"......His Reply, "Design Costumes!" Finally my mom will have someone to sew with her......

More Tales From A Mom Raising A Boy.......

Jack and his worm Farm...



I have never had a girl...so I can only assume that it is a completely different experience raising a boy vs. raising a girl...Especially when your boy is "All Boy". At first I was not sure what to do with my "All Boy".....Sure there are the occasional times he dresses up in Cady's princess dresses or plays with Barbies...Now when I say play with Barbies..I mean completely strip them down naked and then put them in prison until Luke Skywalker or Obi Whan can rescue them....Then I began to realize.."Hello" I am not a girly girl...I would much rather be playing in the dirt, than having a tea party or shopping(yes for those of you who don't know..I hate shopping...)I realized that I was meant to have a boy.....I LOVE BOYS!!!!Jack and I love to do all the same things...(minus play with Star Wars characters all day every day). Jack and I are so much alike..It is funny how a little boy can be a little version of me....Jack and I always tease RJ about being a city boy..RJ hates getting dirty, would rather die that ride a horse or camp out in a tent...Jack and I could hike for days and explore the world around us...I love watching football with my boys and playing baseball with Jack...I love watching Jack discover new things and develop an interest in life..As much as my mom and I wanted that little girl we can't imagine not having Jack..He makes all of us laugh all time..And even though he does weird things like collect worms and store them in a cup..We all enjoy every minute of it...

FUNNY JACK STORY:
The day my parents arrived for Christmas, Jack was watching Spongebob Square Pants..My mom says to Jack, "Are You Spongebob?". Jack replies, "No MeMe I am Jack Bogan, Don't you remember?"

A New Granny for Jack....

This cute little boy has a new Grandma, well kinda...We have made a family decision to take Jack out of pre-school.. His classroom is crowded and I don't think it is very structured anymore plus, RJ and I between the two of us spend approximately two hours a day on the road dropping him off and picking him from school...RJ has been taking him to school and 9 am (which is behind the MGM on the strip) and then driving home and then turning around and driving back to the Mirage at 1:15 for work..Then at 3:30 I drive down to the strip to pick him up, with traffic Jack and I don't get home until 5 pm....Way tooooo much time on the road..When we only need child care for two and half hours a day...

So Yesterday during our lunch duty I was telling my friend Jen about all the driving and how I have just become disappointed in the program Jack is in. As I became teary eyed and told her how much I wished my mom lived here in Vegas, (My mom would love to have Jack for a couple of hours a day and help us out). She chimes in and says, "My mom would love to take care of Jack" So starting Tuesday Jack is going to have a new Babysitter..Her grand kids call her Omi so Jack is going to call her that too. We are excited because our child care bill is going to be cut in half! The best part is Omi, lives right behind my school. Rj and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends that look after us..I was a little worried about Jack not getting all the pre-school activities. His teacher has told us that he his more than ready for Kindergarten. So I am just going to work with him at home to make sure he doesn't forget anything before September.

What do you mean I am having a boy???

Nothing special going on today..Just wanted to write some funny tales about being pregnant with Jack..Before I had Jack, I secretly wanted a little girl..I always gave the speech "I just want a healthy baby"..But deep down I wanted a little girl..mainly because their clothes are so "freakn" cute, and I love doing their hair...So when we wanted to be surprised about the sex of the baby and the Ultrasound Tech blurted out "ooooo I see a little something, do you want to know the sex?" Then she caught her self and felt so bad.. oh a boy..I was thinking..RJ was grinning ear to ear..me? I pretended to be sooooo excited...But, I was thinking..A Stinky Boy!!! Ugh! Jessica was due to have her ultra sound a few days later..I was thinking to myself.."She better not be having a girl or I am going to freak out!" We will just trade babies? Maybe? Ok crazy hormones began to envelop me...She called and told us she was having a boy too.. Ok we could go shopping together and pick out the two cute boy outfits among the hundreds of cute girl outfits in all the stores...

Then...We began to eat like men..Oh no..The little boys inside us were taking over..One time RJ and Ian took us to Denny's RJ offered to get the check..on our way home to Vegas after lunch at Denny's RJ says, "Honey our lunch bill at Denny's was one hundred dollars..fifteen of it belonged to me and Ian the rest belonged to you girls!!!" One hundred dollars at Denny's? Another time Jessica and I went to Claim Jumpers..We ordered appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert...Do you know how much food that is at Claim Jumpers?...Enough to feed a small country I think...Ok I am not even joking about 45 minutes later we were at the mall...Guess What? We both had a double scoop ice cream cone!! My excuse for all the eating was the fact that I did not eat for the first 3 months of my pregnancy and I was making up for lost time...

So the idea of having a boy began to grow on me..And when my mom who was sooooo dissapointed that I was having a boy began to act like a crazy Grandma I began to feel sooo much better..I have a funny Grandma Story that Rj and love to tell to anyone who will listen..Those of you who know my mom know that she loves to spoil all her friends and family rotten...So imagine her first grandchild...We kept telling her she did not have to keep buying stuff, but she kept buying and buying..So one afternoon RJ and I are in California for my Shower..The doctor has told me that I will probably be on bed rest in the next 3 weeks and I will be missing Jessica's shower..so we are out shopping for Jessica..I tell my mom "We don't need anything else, and everything is gone off the registry, just shop for Jessica." Which she does..So I have to go to the Bathroom and I tell RJ to watch my mom..he has strict instructions not to let her shop for Jack..Well, I come back from the bathroom and RJ is yelling "She escaped"..He is beside himself looking for her..He even asks a sales person if they have seen her..I explain our story to the sales person..So over there radios they announce that their is an out of control Grandma on the loose shopping in the store..Thanks to the sales people we find her immediately..of course with a shopping cart full of stuff...Gotta love mom..AKA MeMe..

Just thought you might all like a little story to read in your spare time...hee hee.. I know you have so much time...I hope to write some other stories on here about being a mom of a boy...I know God wanted me to have a boy..Jack makes me soooo happy and he is so freakn' cute..

Today Jack and I went to Dayla and Joey's 2nd birthday party...They are the adorable twins that belong to my friend Stephanie..A good time was had by all..Jack always loves going to Stephanie's family events..She has an adorable nephew named Ian who is 5..Jack loves playing with him...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAYLA AND JOEY..
