Bubba Bear

Today Jack got to bring home Bubba Bear from school. Once a week someone brings Bubba home to take care of him....Then they have to write in their journal everything they did with Bubba. Today Jack took Bubba to Grandma's house, Grandma just had knee surgery so we went to visit her after school. Then Bubba helped Jack do his homework, followed by Jack teaching Bubba how to play Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. After dinner, Bubba watched Jack take a bath and then Jack read Bubba two stories....They are now watching Danny Phantom drifting off the dreamland.....

Matthew's Bday...

Today was Matthew's Birthday...Matthew is Jackson's Best Friend....They were sooooooo tired at the party...Jack spent the night at Matthew's house Thursday night and then Matthew spent the night at our house last night...and now Jack is sleeping at Matthew's house again tonight....It's back to reality for Jack and and I on Monday...after a nice two week vacation we have to go back to school....We didn't get to do much...Jack came down with strep throat two days into our vacation..and 5 days later I thought I had strep throat but it was actually and allergic reaction to something... My throat was so swollen and soar..I really thought I was going to die!!! Jack and I spent most of this break in bed...Ugh! no fun! Of course we are all better in time to go back to work and school...oh well only 5 more weeks until spring break....

Drive-In

Tonight I took Jackson to see the movie "Tooth Fairy" at the Drive-In. He has been sick with strep throat...but has been asking to go to a movie...I decided to take him to the drive-in..so we could stay in our nice warm car... I hadn't been to a drive in movie in like 20 years and I really thought Jack would love it...and he did. ...He got a kick out of the fact that we had pillows and blankets and snuggled up in the back of the Explorer....He thought it was really cool that the sound came through our radio! We will definitely be doing this again..What Fun....

The Room from You Know Where!!

7:00 p.m. last night Jack put this sign on his door!!!! His room was so messy he would not even play in there......This is what happens when RJ and Jack are responsible for cleaning.........RJ hates cleaning up toys....so tells Jack to do it and then Jack just throws toys in piles all around...or just closes his door and makes a bigger mess....while pretending to clean.......So RJ and Jack are grounded!!! They are in charge of cleaning while I am getting my Masters and so far they are failing when it comes to Jack's room.......

9:00 a.m. this morning I couldn't stand it anymore and began cleaning and organizing this disaster!!! OMG! I was fuming!

2:00 p.m. I finally finished!!! Ugh! It better look like this forever...One can dream!

Whip Words

At school we have a program called, "Whip Words". The students have to read the 1000 most frequently used words in the English language. They start with the first 25. Well today Jackson took his first Whip Words test and read all 25 words!!! Yay. Each time they take a test and pass they get a dog tag. RJ and I are so proud of our little Jack!!!! Two years ago an ENT doctor told us that with all the fluid and damage to Jack's ears he might have a hard time learning to read. Well, he is showing no signs of having trouble in the reading department.....Below is a picture of Jack, with his BFF's Jack and Kristen. They are all three the first kids to get Dog Tags in the their class..What an exciting day for these munchkins! Enjoy the pics.
