Speeding Ticket!!!!

Let's see it has been awhile since I have gotten one of my infamous speeding tickets...Yes, it is true I have slown down a little now that I have a little one riding around with me...Well, yesterday I got pulled over! I had to be home at 5:30 yesterday because Jack and I were babysitting my friend Heather's little boy..Jack and I were at a birthday party and I lost track of time and left a little bit later than I should have. We were driving down the road traveling at a really fast speed of 45...I tell you I am a speed demon! Anyway it was a 35 mile an hour zone..I saw the bike officer on my left with his very handy radar gun and I knew I was toast! He pulled me over! He came to the window and blah,blah, blah I was speeding. The I hear a voice from the back, "Mommy are you going to jail?" I explained that I was getting a ticket..Then I rolled down his window and asked the officer if he would talk to Jack..Jack loves police officers....So while I was digging for all my info, my little munchkin begins to charm the pants off this officer. Here is a quick play:
"Do you drive a bike and a car?" "Do you go to the bad neighborhood and get the bad guys?" "Can I go with you to see the thugs in Jail?" "Is that gun real?" "Who is that lady talking to you on the radio, is that your sister?" By this point I am laughing hysterically...The officer is so sweet and totally goes along with Jack...So the officer takes all my info and comes back to the window a few minutes later and says, " Mam, Jack is just too cute I can't possibly give you a ticket now!" He did give me a sitation because my registration is in my maiden name...oops forgot to have that changed....Yay! Jack! I knew I had a cute kid for a reason! Ha!

First Pool Party...With out Mommy

Well, my friend Jen called and invited Jack to come over Saturday for a Pool Party, with her two Kids (Matthew and Mackenzie) and our friend Kelly's girls (Skylar and Destiny)... You might remember them from jack's sleepover post..She went all out with a bbq, ice cream bar, and of course swimming...Guess what I just dropped Jack off and left!!!!!! I went shopping with my mom and Reva and left Jack at the party...Everyone is like he is 5!! He's fine....Jen in the end probably wished I would have stayed there...I called her about every 15 minutes to check on him...she said I was the only mom to call..and she said she has never had a mom call before...she was very sweet just teased me a little...that's ok....

An Evening with Cher..

My mom and aunt Reva came into town this weekend for a visit...Sunday night my mom treated Reva and I to a Cher Concert and dinner..What Fun! The Concert was great...Cher is a spectacular performer....

We have been trying to stay cool without the water slide....We went out and got a little splash pool...so fun even though it is not the real thing...Jack loves it....

Dressed Up...

Yesterday we had the Funeral for my father-in-law..It was a very nice service..That was my first Catholic Funeral Mass..and I really liked all the spiritual words and songs throughout the service.. Not to mention the church is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen..Our little Jack went with us..he made it for about 45 minutes and then got a little figity..so I took him to the cry room for the last 10 minutes so he could walk around and get some of that energy out....RJ's dad was in the military so there was a formal flag ceremony outside the church..That was absolutely wonderful, but very emotional..I of course missed the beginning of it because my little guy had to go to the restroom...If I had a dollar for every time I missed something because Jack had to go to the restroom, I would be a rich mama. In June we will all be heading to Chicago for another Funeral Service for Bob. Jack is going to stay here with MeMe and Pops..Yesterday Jack wanted to wear a shirt and tie just like his dad...I snapped this picture before we left for church..Notice the very pleasant look on his face...he was not happy I was taking his picture so early in the morning...

Sleep Over Part II

Well, we survived Jack's first sleepover...They finally fell asleep around midnight.. and were up bright and early at 6 am..Jack had a blast and can't wait to have another sleepover....These are the best group of kiddos...They are welcome to hang at our house anytime....

Jack's Sleepover Part 1

Jack asked a couple of days ago if he could have a sleepover...I asked him who he wanted to have come to his sleep over..." I want Skylar,Destiny, Matthew, Makenzie and Ms. Jenn." Ms. Jenn is Matthew and Mackenzie's mom...Jack thinks she is a kid..so tonight we have all these adorable kids at our house...Umm I mean I have all these kids...RJ is at work...probably wishing he had to work two shifts...Ha! So far we are having a great time...These will be the last pictures of the water slide...it ripped about 10 minutes after these pictures were taken... Guess we will have to buy a new one....enjoy......

Last Saturday Game

Today was Jack's last Saturday Tball game..and he only has two more games...I am a little sad :( most of the boys on his team are going up to the next level next year (Rookies).. Jack's coach asked us to move Jack up but we decided to keep him in Tball. if he moves up to rookies in the fall and it is too hard, he won't be able to move back to Tball in the Spring..basically once you move there is no turning back..I think it would be good for Jack to play Tball one more season....Enjoy the pics..
