Chicago Trip.....

Well, RJ and I just got home from Chicago and we are wiped......We missed our connecting flight in Salt Lake City last night and had to stay over in what we are humorously calling "The Bates Motel." Jack is still with my mom and has informed her that he does not want to come home...he did not even want to talk to me on the phone this morning.......I will be meeting my mom in Barstow in the morning and retrieve my little munchkin....I am thinking he may need to be tranquilized when I separate him from MeMe....

Our trip to Chicago was very nice...We went back to bury RJ's dad and I know RJ is happy to now have some closure...The service was very nice and I was great meeting all the people who loved RJ's dad...I especially enjoyed when a few of RJ's relatives that he has not seen in over 20 years asked if I was his daughter...I felt so young again...:)

After the services were over we spent the rest of the week hanging out with RJ's friends, family and exploring down town Chicago. I love downtown Chicago it is a beautiful clean city....my favorite part was eating lunch on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building....The view of the city was amazing!!! We did lots of shopping and walking and it was wonderful......

The humidity the first couple of days we were there was horrible...but it got better or maybe I began to get used to it....Here are some pics from our trip...I hope you enjoy.... :)

Seven Years.......

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary....it seems like just yesterday we said our I dos....It was such a fun laid back wedding exactly how we wanted, Remember? Our favorite part of the whole day was the ride from the church to my parent's house in Larry's 1920's hot rod....Jessica was in front of us honking her horn and clearing the way...Mikey was behind us with his hazards on because we were afraid to go to fast...That car can go really fast and get away from you....It was just so much fun being together and doing something totally different....waving to the onlookers and praying we wouldn't crash that spectacular car....We arrived at my parents house in one piece and enjoyed our very laid back but fun reception...The DJ played all the oldies that I like...the dance floor was packed with good friends and family..The food was prepared by some of our dearest friends and it was Yummy...Kids were running around playing football and enjoying all the animals..It was exactly how I imagined that day to be...RJ and I are not extravagant people so that reception was right up our alley..no worries just good ol' fun on the Fidler Ranch! We left the reception in a limo and headed to a condo on the beach..it was an unforgettable night!! Oh wait I was thinking of something else..I wouldn't know because I fell asleep about 20 minutes after we arrived..poor RJ spent his wedding night sitting on the deck listening to the ocean all alone...Sorry Honey....The next day we went back to my parent's house and were blessed to find many of our friends and family still there waiting for us..they wanted to watch us open all our gifts...What a fun afternoon...The next day we left for our honeymoon cruise to Mexico..Now this is where it gets funny..a little more interesting..RJ and I almost got a divorce on day three of our marriage...We got lost trying to find the port where our ship was leaving...anyway as most of you know I have a really good sense of direction so when I get lost I freak out! I can thank my mother for that...she is the same way..Well, RJ saw my dark side for the first time..I was flipping out!!! He was scared! We were both yelling and it was not pretty...I believe the word divorce got brought into the yelling match at least twice...I know, I know it is hard for you to imagine this since RJ and I never argue..well we did that day and it was bad! Happily we finally made it to the ship..and Psycho Michele was back to normal and all was good..Our cruise was amazing..even when we went snorkeling and RJ is screaming for help, "Michele I am drowning, HELP"..Folks it was in 2 feet of water..was it mean that I laughed at him??? It all turned out ok..seven years later we have this amazing little munchkin who is the joy of our life...we are just as happy as that wonderful day in 2002..can't wait to see what the next 7 years brings..

Babysitting Dylan......

Last weekend Jack and I babysat my friend Heather's little boy Dylan (He is 2)....Heather is going to be Jack's teacher next year....Now when I say Jack and I babysat Dylan, I mean Jack did...It was so freakn' cute....He put juice in Dylan's sippy cup, showed him how to play the Wii, shared all his toys, and put the toys with small pieces out of Dylan's reach...they played for two hours and I just hung out...The funniest part of the night was when Dylan needed a diaper change...Well, Jack insisted on doing it...it was just a wet diaper so I decided to let him help.. Jack was afraid it was going to smell so he put on his Clone Trooper helmet while changing Dylan's diaper. It was so funny...after the diaper changing, Jack told Dylan he was tooooooo old to wear diapers..so he took Dylan in to the bathroom and showed him how to pee in the toilet....We can't wait to babysit Dylan again! Enjoy the pics.....

School Uniforms...

We just recently found out that my school is going all uniform next year....Which means Jack will be wearing a uniform to school...I like the idea of a school uniform..Even though I love clothes and would have died if I had to wear a uniform when I was in school, my views have changed on the issue. I am happy for the students that don't have a lot of money to purchase clothes and wear the same thing everyday...Now all the students will be doing that very same thing. I am excited about knowing everyday what Jack will be wearing. I am going to purchase 5 bottoms and 5 tops and that is that....Yay! Mornings will be very easy going at our house! Below are the types of things Jack will be wearing...On PE day they can wear shorts or sweats with a school shirt....
