September/October?

Well, I am not sure  where September and October went!!!!!!  We have been so busy that I have had not one minute to work on my blog.....this school year started off with a bang......There are so many changes going on in my school district, I feel like a first year teacher again!!! Ugh! The first week was so overwhelming and I was so stressed, I developed walking pneumonia....it lasted for 6 weeks, I missed 10 days of school over the course of the 6 weeks.....I don't ever remember being that sick! As usual we are busy with cub scouts...Jack joined the chess team at school and took some Lego workshops..... we are constantly on the move.....so here are some pictures of our busy couple of months...Enjoy!

Well...despite not having air conditioning in the building today....and the temp in my classroom was 96 degrees....Jack and I both had a great day! Jack told me on the way home he loves his new teacher and he is so happy that he gets to come to school with me again! ahhhhhh....melted my heart.....enjoy the picture below of Jack flashing the 3rd grade sign...hee hee.....

Meet the Teacher and Back to School BBQ

On Friday Jackson went to Meet his new Teacher....(even though he already knows her, hee hee)...Every year my school has a meet and greet so the kids can see their classrooms and meet their new teacher...below is a picture RJ took of Jackson and Mrs. Chau.....I was in my classroom meeting my new kids! :)

Tonight we had a back to school BBq at our house with our good friends the Brodersens and the Guerreros.....Can't believe summer is already over!!!! But we are excited to see what the new school year will bring! Jack is going to be in 3rd grade! :) He is still going to be involved with Cub Scouts and is going to start taking Archery and Fencing! Yay!Below are some pictures from our bbq......Everyone was CRAZY tonight!!!!! Kids and Adults....What a fun bunch.....

Camping We Will Go.......

 Last weekend Jack and I ran away from the heat and headed up to Mt. Charleston for his Cub Scout Camp Out.....We had so much fun.....Jack and I love to camp and we had an amazing time! Jack had to work on some skills from his handbook and he chose to Hike, Chop Wood, and Build a Fire.....We had a little scare because while on one of the hikes Jack had an Asthma Attack.....He hasn't had one of those in years! Guess the thin air did him in...of course in true Jack fashion he didn't let it bother him and he carried on like a little trooper....
This is our last week of summer and we will be heading back to school.  Jack will be going back to my school and we just found out last week he will have the most amazing third grade teacher! Yay!... Enjoy the pictures from our weekend camp out!

Tonight Jack went to the Nevada Climbing Center to rock climb with his cub scout troop.....he has never rock climbed before, but he really enjoyed it! We just found out there is a rock climbing center down the street from our house, so I think we will be going there often...Jack really likes climbing, and it is great exercise.... Enjoy the pics...
