Merry Christmas

Jack Reading The Night Before Christmas
We had a wonderful first Christmas in our new home....Jack was still recovering from his tonsillectomy...and RJ and I were getting over bad colds, but that didn't damper our spirits....My parents came up a few days early to help us celebrate..Christmas eve I had planned to make a big dinner but I was not feeling well, so we ordered Mexican food and ate it at home.....We had also planned to go out and look at lights, but Jackson did not feel up to going out.....We prepared for Santa's arrival and Jackson read us The Night Before Christmas.....until his little voice got tired....then mommy took over....Christmas Day RJ had to work until 2 p.m....Jackson woke up opened a couple of presents...he waited until RJ got home to open the rest...What an amazing Kid ! We were so happy when RJ finally came home!  Our Christmas finally began...RJ's mom came over and joined us.....we opened presents and my mom and RJ made an Amazing Surf and Turf dinner....steak and crab legs!!! Yummy.....I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year

Tonsils Go Bye Bye......

Today our brave little munchkin had his tonsils and adenoids removed. The doctor came out after the procedure and told us his tonsils were literally the size of golf balls.....the procedure went well and he had very little bleeding...he came out of the procedure with fists flying and had lots of choice words for us......needless to say he was not a little out of it....he was a lot out of it.....After about and hour or so he calmed down and was back to normal.....and we got to take him home...he is doing well but is in a lot of pain.....in true Jack fashion a nap would do him some good, but of course he will not sleep.......

Here is a picture just before they wheeled him back....all smiles....

Bubble Gum Machine

This past week Jack's Cub Scout troop had their annual Father/Son cake bake auction.  RJ does not like to bake, so I was the "Father" Jack made a cake that looked like a gumball machine.  It was really simple and fun to make.  Jack ended up winning the "Most Expensive Cake Award"....It was auctioned off and brought in $55 dollars for charity.... Yay.........
